Company Profile

Company Overview

Founded in 1993, Fuji Mint Corporation began as a company specializing in the mail-order sale of historic coins, commemorative coins, and various collectors’ items, mainly through direct mail catalogs and our website.

In 1999 we launched Japan’s first private minting division, adding coin-planning and minting services. Today, as one of Japan’s leading private mints, we provide turnkey legal-tender commemorative-coin services to major central and national banks worldwide.

Since our inception we have planned, minted, and distributed coins for the Government of the Cook Islands (NZ), the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, the Republic of Palau, the Republic of Kiribati, the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe, the Republic of Zambia, the Federal Republic of Somalia, the Republic of Ghana, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, the Central Bank of Mongolia, and many other governments and regions.

In 2017 we streamlined our core businesses—coin sales and minting—into two service lines: the Mail-Order Division and the Auction Division. In 2019, addressing Japan’s “super-aged society,” we launched the Nerima Community Co-existence Project to foster inter-generational and cross-cultural exchange. As part of our “Travel the World in Your Town” Series we host hands-on international culture workshops, co-organized with local partners such as Book Cafe Bar Fumikura. Past workshops have been held with the South African Tourism Board (Tokyo Office) and the Embassy of El Salvador in Japan.

Since 2025 we have been developing and implementing an independent currency and official-seal system for the Republic of Montagnes d’Émail — a conceptual virtual nation created in cyberspace.
